Once the learning objectives are agreed upon, your field supervisor can shape your internship experience, based on the tasks you need to complete as you work toward your goals.

Both the agency and the student must be safety-conscious. Because faculty supervisors are not present, the duty of care rests with the field supervisor, who must make decisions on whether the student can observe or participate in an activity. At the same time, the student must make similar decisions. In addition, some guidelines should be agreed to before the internship begins.
